A good example of a Malayer rug with an interesting shield design on an indigo blue ground.
 
Circa 1900/10.
 
The shield design is often found on Afshar tribal rugs, on this rug it is very well drawn and balanced. The ivory ground floral border frames the rug well.
 
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.
 
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
 
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
