Pair of Large Sterling Silver Vases

1900 - 1920
Description

A superb pair of large solid Sterling Silver vases. They are stylish and good quality with a cylindrical tapering form on a circular foot with a flared rim. Below the rim is a band of reed and ribbon embossed decoration. Below this is embossed ribbon, garland and swag decoration, with fluted decoration to the lower portion of the vase body. A band of reed decoration encircles each vase just above the foot.

They are each clearly hallmarked for London, 1905 and the maker's Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd.

They are in excellent condition for their age. There are some minor signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.

Approximate Measurements :

Height : 10" (25cm)

Top Diameter : 4 1/4" (11cm)

Base Diameter : 3 1/2" (9cm)
