Large Antique Silver Plated Peg Tankard C1880 by Thomas Bradbury & Sons

Description

This is an attractive antique silver plated peg or pegged tankard. This large tankard sits on three ball feet with a seated lion above each plus mirrored on the finial. Inside are 6 pegs to measure alcohol. The body is engraved with scrolls leaves and flowers. The curved side handle has a face of a lady above and a face of a man below. Clever circles as a hinge. The lid is also engraved with scrolls flowers and leaves. c.1880 British made with a makers mark for Thomas Bradbury & Sons stamped underneath. This is sold in original plate with little wear.

Height: 30.5cm (12")
