Antique Kizyl Ayak Ersari Turkmen main carpet with the tradition Kizil Ayak gul design; there are two rows of seven large guls.
 
Circa 1920.
 
The carpet has a warm red ground colour with some indigo blues, ivory and burnt orange. The border is of a classic Kizil Ayak meandering vine design.
 
The carpet is in excellent condition with even wear with medium pile, there is an old faded repair in the top left hand corner.
 
The carpet is suitable for heavy domestic use.
