Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.

The cut glass base of the pot is most attractive beautiful floral patterns all around the jar and a star design cut into the base. The circular silver top is coated in the most beautiful vivid blue enamel with a star burst design and the underneath of the lid has a pale gilt finish.

This superb example would make a wonderful centrepiece to any dressing table.
Condition: there is tiny indent to the silver on the left hand rim. The rim of the glass is in very good condition, and any marks visible are not damage but just slight wear from the lid being pulled on and off.

Hallmarks: marked to the lid as sterling silver, Birmingham, 1939, Albert Carter.
