Description

An original Art Deco pendant with a Blue Morpho butterfly wing set beneath domed glass or rock crystal in a typical 1930s setting. The insect wing flashes vivid electric blue, violet and turquoise as it catches the light.

The back is fully enclosed and stamped SILVER FAT 202213.

We have hung the pendant on a new sterling silver 18-inch chain so it is ready to wear out of the box.

The piece is in excellent antique condition, with hardly any loss of butterfly scales and little abrasion to the surface of the dome. The silver has a lovely patina consistent with the age of the piece.

Size: Approx 3cm total drop, the pendant is 2cm along its square side.

Pendant weight: 4.9g.
