Vintage Norwegian Silver & Red Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Hroar Prydz

1940 - 1960
Description

A delightful Norwegian vintage silver and enamel butterfly brooch. The wings are in guilloche enamel and superbly detailed in red hues with black and white accents. a slight curve to the wings reflects the light and highlights the detail. The back of the brooch is marked 'Sterling 925 S Norway' with the mark for the well known Norway jewellery designer Hroar Prydz, circa 1950. There is a good fastening clasp at the back that works well.

 

A perfect gift, made by a collectable Scandinavian designer and in fabulous condition.

 

Period: Circa 1950

Measurements: Height: 1.7 cm Width: 3.1 cm Weight: 3.6 grams
