Description

A really special and stylish pair of solid brass candlesticks in the most elegant Arts and Crafts design.

The bases are weighted, which can be seen on the underside, which keeps this elegant shape firmly stable, the sweeping columns join a stylised bracket holding the candle holder in place.

The underside of each reveal the signature of the manufacturer, W T & S for William Tonk & Sons of Birmingham. These are also lucky enough to bear a design registration number, 462290 for the year 1905, making these Edwardian in era, perfectly in keeping with their style.

Excellent condition, with a footprint 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" and each stands 6 1/4" tall.
