Small Antique Sterling Silver Handled Magnifying Glass - William Hutton

Description

A charming small magnifying glass, perfect to take with you when on the move. The handle is made from sterling silver handle with a beautiful repousse border featuring tiny floral and foliate motifs.

The handle bears the hallmark for Sheffield 1905, making this a true Edwardian example, the makers mark for the famed silversmith, William Hutton & Son Ltd. is also present. The ferrule is also lucky enough to bear the English registration number, 469317 also for the year 1905.

The nickel rimmed magnifier itself is of course new, making it a very usable desk accessory with a clear lens and good magnification.

As useful as decorative, excellent condition, measuring 5 3/4" in length with a lens diameter of 2 1/2".
