Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1860s.

The box stands on an integral pierced or reticulated tray, which in turn stands on three wonderful "winged" Lions's paw feet.
The underside is fully marked by the renowned silversmith Padley, Parkin and Staniforth of Sheffield; dating to c.1860. Excellent condition, a few very minor dints (insignificant but mentioned for accuracy). 8 1/2" tall with the tray diameter measuring approximately 8".
