Description

A good example of an early 20th Century standard lamp with an elegant Chinoiserie design. The lamp is made of wood with a turned tapering design on a round base with three feet. It is a good quality piece with lots of detail in the decoration, gilded highlights and an unusual natural background rather than a black ground.

It has been rewired to modern standards to take a standard bayonet bulb and is in working order with a valid PAT test.

The lamp is in good condition with some minor signs of age and use and some losses and wear to the paint in places but nothing detrimental. There are some very minor signs of old worm in a couple of the feet which has been treated as a precaution. The lamp is strong and sturdy and displays beautifully.
