The fine inlays are on the face edge of each leg and there is a string inlay around the seat area, a really rather special stool. Rewaxed in our workshops it is ready for a new life elsewhere. It has a turn mechanism from the workshops of Joseph Fitter, renouned for his wind gear for extending tables. This allows the seat to rise and fall as required, height below is in the position shown in the pictures.

This is in sound and very useable condition, (maybe the reupholstery of the seat would improve this for some clients) this would suit a dressing table as well as a piano of course, maybe a desk if space is at a premium. In any case, quality is all and this has it by the bucket load. Dating from the late 1800s possibly early 1900s it is not to be missed at this very highly competitive price of £225. Please compare what you will normally pay for this kind of quality and then give us a call.
