Fine quality early 18th century George 11 burr walnut bureau circa 1740 .
The bureau has a fabulous grain and colour with a fine antique patina .
The wonderful burr walnut slope front opens to reveal a well fitted interior with cubby holes drawers and a total of four secret drawers . The fall front has a working lock and key . below this there are four graduating oak lined drawers with front to back liners and fine dovetail joints typical of the early 18th century construction . The retain their origin brass engraved plate handles .
It has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed in our workshop to maintain its wonderful colour and patina that only age can achieve .
