A handsome antique late Victorian mahogany bureau in mahogany with satinwood inlay dating from circa 1895. With good colour and original patina, it has a shaped brass gallery top above two drawers over a fall front over a single drawer and stands on square tapered legs. The fall front drops down to reveal an arrangement of pigeon holes to the interior and a leather writing surface (worn). A nice sized bureau that would work well in a hall or living room as an occasional desk. The fall and bottom drawer locks and comes with working keys.

Good colour and original warm patina. Some old splits to the mahogany which have been filled with wax, some old mends to the decorative spandrels and some wear and veneer lifting to the feet in places. The leather writing surface is worn. Other wear and marks commensurate with age.
