Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The rear is fitted to accept six rings and and the front for other rings or other small pieces of jewellery.
The underside is paper lined and the rim is where the hallmarks can be found for Birmingham 1909, so a true Edwardian example; the maker initials of Mn Wb for the famous silversmith, Mappin & Webb. The other side is stamped with the design registration number, 526809 also for the year 1909.
Excellent condition, measuring 3 7/8" x 3 1/8" x 1" tall.
