Art Deco jewellery, prominent during the 1920s and 1930s, is characterised by geometric symmetry, streamlined designs, and the frequent use of platinum paired with diamonds.

Platinum became the metal of choice during this era due to its strength and ability to hold delicate settings, combined primarily with old European or old mine cut diamonds.

Authentic pieces often feature hand-carved or pierced platinum work, characteristic old-cut diamond facets with smaller tables and higher culets, and appropriate period hallmarks.

An antique ring provides a sophisticated contrast when paired with contemporary minimalist outfits or stacked alongside modern bands for a curated look.

Regular professional inspections of the prongs are essential to ensure the security of the stones, alongside gentle cleaning with warm soapy water and a soft brush.
