Rare English Edwardian Sterling Silver Candle Box 1908 Antique

Description

A rare English Edwardian antique solid sterling silver candle box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1908 with the makers marks being C T Burrows & Sons (Charles Turman Burrows). It has been superbly made having a domed lid designed to hold a candle, most likely used when going to bed. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The inside is clean and the lid closes securely. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.6cm) across by 2.5 inches (6.2cm) tall and weighs 38 grams. A very unusual piece.
