A superb 1930''s solid silver tea set comprising of a teapot with matching jug and sugar bowl.
Very elegantly shaped with eight sides as an elongated octagon, the style is a combination of Art Deco angles with softer touches, such as the decorative border of flowers and swags which circles each item. The crisp gadroon edging decorating each rim is very smart and creates a lovely shine.
The two handled sugar bowl and the jug have shaped handles with a thum grip and the teapot handle is of shaped Bakelite in a wood effect brown tone. The lid hinges very nicely to stand open, and it''s knop is made of the same Bakelite or composite material as the teapot''s handle.
A gorgeous set for a special afternoon tea, and in super condition.
