Vintage Blue & White Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Aksel Holmsen, Norway

A beautiful silver & enamel butterfly brooch by the Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. The brooch is in the form of a butterfly, its wings enamelled in the most stunning blue colour with a white body. The brooch is in sterling silver with a light warm gilt coating. On the back are the marks for Aksel Holmsen - Norway Sterling 925s, and there is a good fastening pin on the back.

 

A gorgeous brooch, great for a collector of vintage Norwegian designer jewellery or butterflies.

Condition: Great pre-owned condition. The enamel is in super condition.

Period: Mid century.
