A beautiful silver & green enamel butterfly brooch by the Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. In the form of a butterfly, the wings are enamelled in the most stunning green colour with a yellow body. The brooch is silver with a light gilt coating. On the back are the marks for Aksel Holmsen - Norway Sterling 925s. There is a good fastening pin on the back.
A dazzling brooch - great for a collector of vintage Norwegian designer jewellery or for a collector of butterfly brooches.
Condition: Great pre-owned condition, however there is a scratch across the top of the left wing.
