In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It has a silver handle with ivory insulators and a hinged lid.

It is hallmarked on the main body and below the lid for London, 1845 and the maker William Ker Reid. The hallmark on the main body is worn and partly rubbed but the mark below the lid is clear.
It is an excellent quality piece and it weighs approximately 770g.

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages to the teapot itself. There have been some repairs to the base at some point but it is watertight now. There are some minor surface marks, small dinks and knocks and the finial looks like it might have taken a knock at some point but it still displays well.
