Rare Pair of Old Sheffield Plated Cider / Beer Goblets

Description

This pair of beer or cider goblets are made of Old Sheffield Plate. The pieces are unmarked but date to c1770-1780. Of elegant form and with square bases. With original gilded interiors. They are initialled to the base, probably for the original owners of these pieces.

In good condition with no dents or splits. With some minor age related wear and slight copper bleed to the raised edges.

Total weight approx 757g

Height approx 13.5cm

Diameter at rim approx 8.5cm

Base measures approx 6.5cm square.
