Norwegian Red & White Small Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Aksel Holmsen

A beautiful small silver & red enamel butterfly brooch by the Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. In the form of a butterfly, the wings are enamelled in the most stunning red colour with a white enamel body. The brooch is silver with gilt coating.

 

Hallmarks: On the back are the marks for Aksel Holmsen - Norway Sterling 925s. There is a good fastening pin on the back.

A dazzling brooch - great for a collector of vintage Norwegian designer jewellery or for a collector of butterfly brooches.

 

Condition: The brooch and beautiful enamel are in super condition.

Period: Mid century.
