Description

C1920 Queen Anne Style Figured Walnut Bureau Bookcase. The arched cornice with moulded edge and open shaped centre. The arched glazed door having Herring Bone inlaid outline string opening to 3 adjustable shelves and a silk lined back. The bureau base having moulded top edge to take the top. The fall again with Herring Bone outline stringing and a book rest. The inverted breakfront interior having 4 pigeon holes over Herring Bone inlaid oak lined drawers flanked by shelved open space over 2 conforming drawers with brass Bell shaped drop handles. These around a well with sliding cover. Dummy drawer below flanked by the loppers over 3 oak lined drawers with Herring Bone outline stringing and brass swanneck handles with shaped back plates and shaped escutcheons. A moulded base on O. G. feet.
