Description

This is a super quality stool made by a first-class firm. Ebonised with burr-walnut tablets and cross-banding and highlighted in parcel gilt. The stool is decorated on all sides, with the front mirroring the back, and raised on brass caps and castors. The internal brass hinges are by Cope and are in excellent order.

The stool is in original unrestored condition with some scuffs and losses to the finish, particularly around the legs and corners. There is a small section of moulding missing above the front right leg (see image).Both the side panels have a fine horizontal shrinkage split.
