French Modernist Silver Plated Cigar Box By Crevillen, Paris C.1960

A lovely quality mid-century modern oval cigar box made from silver plate and signed on the underside ''Crevillen, Paris''. They were famed in the 1960''s and 1970''s for making quality boxes with a modernist geometric design, highly sought-after today.
 
Just back from our silversmith''s, the box has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it''s former glory; a few pin points stubborn spots remain to the front, mentioned purely for accuracy.
 
These boxes are beautifully made with top notch hinges. The body of the box is decorated with linear panels and the linear design to the top.
 
Excellent condition measuring 6'' tall x 4'' wide x 3'' deep. Weighing 500 grams.
