Fine quality, black basalt fob seal set in scrolling pinchbeck frame, circa 1775.

Marked Wedgwood & Bentley 303

The seal is finely moulded, a powerful classical bull with vine leaves over its back, curled tail and head in attack position, thyrsus as ground line.

Very fine detailed moulding typical of the period.

The frame 29.4mm x 24.5mm gross weight 9 grams
