Pair of Antique Cabochon Garnet & Pearl Drop Earrings Test as 9ct Gold

A wonderful pair of Victorian garnet and pearl set drop earrings. The deep ruby coloured cabochon garnets are teardrops, claw set in gold, in a drop setting with a pearl above each garnet. The gold setting has depth to the sides but is open at the back, allowing light to illuminate the garnets, highlighting the rich colours within the stones. Hook fastening, for pierced ears.

 

It is a classic combination, very much the epitome of Victorian style. The earrings are unmarked but have tested as 9ct gold.

Condition: in good antique condition - there are some slight inclusions and light surface scratching to the garnets, mentioned for accuracy only.
