Victorian Solid Silver Card Case, 1894

Description

A very attractive Victorian solid silver card case with spring hinge opening to reveal original leather lined interior for two compartments for calling cards. Designed in such a way which ever way you open it one side of cards will be the right way up. The case is beautifully engraved with foliate decoration and with discreet cartouche engraved with initials. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 by Deakin & Francis.
