A Fabulous Victorian Silver Mounted Scent Bottle with Gold Leaf

A fabulous Victorian silver mounted scent bottle of squared form. This is a gorgeous example with an amethyst egg shaped body, flecked with real gold leaf fragments giving a 'night sky' effect. It has a clear glass overlay, which has panel cutting to the sides. The hinged silver lid opens to reveal the original peg stopper. The silver lid has floral repoussé decoration to the top and sides. A wonderful and unusual collector's piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or holes to the lid and no chips or cracks to the glass.

Hallmarks :- Unmarked but tests as silver (not unusual for Victorian scent bottles).
