A Rare Mid 18th Century Scottish Silver Punch Ladle

A rare mid 18th Century Scottish silver punch ladle. This unusual piece dates from the 1750's and had a silver bowl, shank and wishbone shoulders. The handle is elegant and long, made of turned fruit wood. A wonderful and early collector's piece, with a practical use. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good, with no losses or splits. There are two small areas of 'flattening' to the bowl, commensurate with age and use.

Date :- Edinburgh 1749-62 .

Hallmarks :- Maker's mark only.

Maker :- Ker & Dempster.
