A Superb Edwardian Silver Vesta/sovereign Case Combo

A delightful and interesting item of Edwardian silver. This rare piece is a vesta with a combined sovereign holder. Assayed at the Birmingham Office, this lovely example has engraved acanthus leaf detail to the front and back and a cartouche with script initials. The other end of the vesta is hinged and opens to reveal a spring release sovereign holder. Both interior compartments are gilded and there is an attaching ring for a fob chain to the top.A fine collector's item. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with a good hinge to both compartments and no dents or splits.
