Cased Set Silverplate & Mother of Pearl Fruit / Desert Knives and Forks

Description

A fabulous set of twelve elegant fruit knives and forks made from silver plate with polished Mother of Pearl handles.

The blades to the knives have decorative engraving and each signed with the makers mark for the well renowned silversmith, John Sanderson of Sheffield. The ferrules and terminals are decorated with a raised Oak leaf and Acorn design.

The set comes complete in their original Walnut presentation case (no key).

Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and use dating to c.1890. The case measuring 11 1/2" x 9 1/4" x 2 3/8"; each knife measuring 8 1/8" and each fork measuring 6 7/8.
