Stunning Large 152g Indian Solid Silver Snake Handle Mustard Pot C1880 Kutch

Description

A beautiful rare solid silver Indian mustard pot. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1880 almost certainly made in Kutch. It has been beautifully hand made being embossed and chased with scrolls and flowers with the handle being cast in the form of a snake. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (8.8cm) across including the handle by 1.75 inches (4.4cm) across the lid by 3.5 inches (8.8cm) tall to the top of the finial and weighs 152 grams. A superbly designed beautiful example.
