Norwegian Silver Viking Boat Brooch in Blue & White Enamel by Aksel Holmsen

Description

A beautiful vintage silver & enamel brooch by the Norwegian silversmith Aksel Holmsen. Made in the form of a Viking boat, the billowing sail is enamelled in stunning a gorgeous cobalt blue and white.

The brooch is silver with gilt coating and on the back are the marks for Aksel Holmsen - Norway Sterling 925s.

A dazzling brooch - great for a collector of vintage Norwegian designer jewellery.

 

Condition: Great pre-owned condition. The enamel is in beautiful condition.

Period: Mid twentieth century.

 

Measurements: Height: 3cm Width: 3.5cm Weight: 5.2 grams

Weights and measurements are approximate.
