Vintage Modernist Norwegian Enamel Lily Brooch By Knut A. Rasmussen

A striking vintage silver and guilloche enamel brooch in the form of a lily. This fabulous brooch is wonderfully styled and is coloured with the most vibrant light blue guilloche enamel with silver around the edges. On the back is a good fastening pin and next to this the designers mark for Knut A Rasmussen, plus marks stating ''925 S, Norway sterling''.
Rasmussen produced his pieces in Oslo and died in the 1950''s. He produced very unusual modernist jewellery and was very much a forerunner in style: his jewellery is admired and very collectable.
Great for a collector of Norwegian jewellery. Unusual brooch and in very good condition, other than some very slight wear to the gilding on the reverse.
Period: circa 1940''s.
