Antique Telescopic Brass Standard Lamp

19th century
Description

A good quality late Victorian brass standard lamp with triform base and scrolling feet. It has a central tubular upright and the top part is telescopic so the height can be adjusted. It was most likely originally an oil lamp which has now been converted to electricity.

It has been PAT tested and rewired to modern standards to take a bayonet bulb and has an on/off foot switch.

It is in good condition and is a heavy good quality piece. The brass has been gently polished and it is strong and sturdy. There are some signs of age and use, some minor marks and a few small dinks around the base but no major damages and it displays well.

Approximate Measurements :

Height : adjustable from 56" (142cm) to 69" (175cm)

Width : 16" (41cm)
