Rare English Sterling Silver Pottery Snake Skin Effect Matchstriker 1892

Description

A beautiful rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver match striker. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1892 with the maker being William Naul. It has been superbly designed with a snake skin effect pottery base and sterling silver rim. It is in good condition being free from splits chips cracks and repairs, there are numerous small dents to the silver rim. It measures approx. 2.5 inches (6.4cm) across by 2 inches (5cm) tall and weighs 222 grams. A very unusual example.
