Rare Heavy Victorian 328g Solid Sterling Silver Jewellery Cigar Box 1881 Antique

Description

A rare beautiful heavy Victorian antique solid sterling silver jewellery, table or cigar box. It is hallmarked for London 1881 with the maker being Richard Hodd & Son (Richard Hodd I & Richard Hodd II). It has been superbly designed with the lid being applied with initials. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs - faint dark mark inside, see final photo. It measures approx. 5.5 inches (14.4cm) across by 3.75 inches (9.7cm) wide by 1 inch (2.6cm) tall and weighs 328 grams (all silver no weighted base). A very high quality example.
