In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The frame is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1929 although the makers mark is slightly rubbed.
It's in good condition for its age. The silver frame has some small dents and marks here and there but nothing detrimental and the wooden base is in good order. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays well.
