Victorian Silver Card Tray Beautifully Engraved Hallmarked Sheffield 1894

A wonderful Victorian silver card tray with beautiful engraved decoration and a very ornate raised border. The central engraving comprises of six pretty floral sprays with leaves, butterflies and roses, crisply rendered. The tray stands on three solid claw and ball feet with beaded edges, and the whole tray is nicely proportioned, with the solid feel and weight of quality antique silver.

 

A fine item for a collector of Victorian silver.

 

Condition: In really super condition with only the lightest of surface marks to the tray, expected with age and mentioned for accuracy only.

Hallmarks: hallmarked as sterling silver, Sheffield 1894 with makers mark for W W Harrison & Co.
