Good early 19th century French mahogany ormolu mounted bureau plat with slides to each end. The drawers, edge to the top and end panels are bordered by applied ormolu beading, a very good bit of design. Further ormolu in the form of acanthus, garlands and rocaille are applied to the tapering legs, feet and end panels too. The handles are also beautifully designed and in ormolu.
