A beautiful Edwardian silver and green glass sugar sifter. The silver frame is beautifully designed: the top is exquisitely fret in with cross shapes, and the body of the sifter has open fret work with the lovely green liner showing through. The combination is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Hallmarks are clearly visible, on both the base and the lid, for the Chester assay office. There is a date mark for 1909 and maker''s mark for the silversmiths: Barker Brothers.
Condition: In great antique condition with some minor dimpling to one small section of the base. The glass liner is in super condition with no chips.
Measurements: Height: 14.7 cm Diameter width at widest part: 6.5 cm Weight: 204 grams
All measurements are approximate.
