Beautiful 318g Scottish Sterling Silver Bread Basket Fruit Bowl 1906 Antique

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful rare Scottish antique solid sterling silver bread basker or fruit bowl. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1906 with the maker being Crichton & Bruce. It has been superbly designed having pierced sides and the base engraved with initials possibly JLA, AJL etc... as they are entwined. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, light scratches and it could do with a bit more of a clean as I ran out of elbow grease. It measures approx. 9.75 inches (25cm) across by 8 inches (20.5cm) wide by 2 inches (5cm) tall and weighs 318 grams. A very good quality rare piece.
