Pair of early 19th Cent. Bronze Crane Candlesticks by Thomas Abbott, English

A stunning Pair of English patinated bronze and ormolu single light candlesticks of good proportion, modelled as a pair of storks. Each Stork is perched on a rocky mound, the naturalistic cast oval form ormolu nozzle and drip pans above leaf cast base held aloft in the birds mouth. Exquisite carving. The base stamped 'Abbott'.

English. Circa 1850.
