Pair of English / French silvered brass baluster knopped candlesticks, 1700 - 1710
Probably of Huguenot origin.
Heavily cast but well finished, single cast stems, threaded into the bases, bases turned under the well and scraped off in the corners and sides.
The silver surface now only present underneath, the brass with little wear.
Complete and in excellent sound condition with no damage or repair, noting one threaded joint now tightened with solder.
Not recently cleaned or polished.
Height 6,5/8'' or 168mm, gross weight 814 grams.
