Art Deco jewellery, prominent from the 1920s to the 1930s, is characterised by geometric symmetry, clean lines, stylised motifs, and a strong influence from machinery and modernism.

Art Deco jewellers frequently utilised platinum for its strength and ability to hold delicate settings, alongside white gold, paired with old European cut diamonds and calibre-cut coloured gemstones.

Authentic pieces typically feature hand-cut stones such as old European or old mine cuts with characteristic irregular facets, alongside period-appropriate metal smithing techniques and lack of modern laser inscriptions.

Vintage rings can be paired with minimalist modern wedding bands to create a striking contrast, or stacked alongside complementary geometric pieces to highlight their historical craftsmanship.

Fine jewellery should be cleaned regularly using warm soapy water and a soft brush, stored separately in lined boxes to prevent scratching, and checked annually by a professional jeweller for prong integrity.
