Rare Georgian Sterling Silver Bowl & Cover Bateman Antique 1796 Hercules 380g

Description

A beautiful rare good sized Georgian cup or bowl and cover. It is hallmarked for London 1796 with the makers marks being Peter and Ann Bateman. It has been superbly made being engraved with a crest of Hercules wearing his lions skin beneath this is a single letter G. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 7 inches (17.8cm) across including the handles by 6.25 inches (16cms) tall and weighs 380 grams. A very good quality impressive piece.
