David Andersen Sterling Silver Enamel Violet Sewing Thimble C1940 Norway

Description

A beautiful Norwegian solid sterling silver and enamelled size 2 thimble. It is hallmarked STERLING 925S NORWAY with the makers mark being that of David Andersen. This mark was used from 1925. It has been superbly designed being enamelled and hand painted with what appears to be viola / violets. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. No chips or cracks. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.4cm) tall by almost 0.75 inch (1.5cm) across the base and weighs 4 grams. A very beautiful example.
