Rare S Mordan 1908 Sterling Silver Red White Blue Chick Pin Cushion Sewing

1900 - 1920
Description

A rare novelty Edwardian solid silver pin cushion. It is hallmarked for Chester 1908 with the makers marks being that of Sampson Mordan. It has been beautifully designed in the form of a chick and very unusually has its original fabric in Red White and Blue - albeit rather faded (pre WWI Nationalism). It is in very good condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.3cms) tall by about the same long and weighs 11 grams. A very unusual patriotic example.
